Smithfield mobile crew facilities for roadwork

Smithfield road access can change with paving and traffic control. A trailer rental needs an approved off-road pad and a service route, not just a route number.

Documented local record

Smithfield Road resurfacing and crossroads review

At its June 17, 2025 meeting, Henry County Fiscal Court heard that prior work on KY 1861, Smithfield Road, was substantially complete. KYTC staff also recommended resurfacing another 5.441 miles from KY 322 to KY 55 with fiscal-year 2026 rural secondary funds. The court approved the recommendations. Separately, the county judge discussed a possible roundabout at the Smithfield crossroads to address wrecks; the minutes say it still needed a place on the state highway plan. The roundabout was a proposal, not a funded construction claim. Read the source record.

Rental use case

Support the crew without occupying the road

A future Smithfield paving crew might need a portable restroom near a permitted staging lot, while a longer shift pattern could call for showers. Sleeper or bunk bed trailers should be considered only when workers stay overnight and the property is approved for that use. Match each fixture to the busiest shift rather than assuming every road project needs a full remote man camp. Share the crew count and the exact phase of work so a quote can distinguish a short roadside setup from a larger temporary base.

Delivery and service

Check the route and the pad

The Henry County record names KY 1861, KY 322, and KY 55, but does not identify a trailer pad. Confirm the approach the delivery truck may use while paving is active and whether there is enough room to turn clear of traffic. Check grade, shoulders, overhead lines, and access for cleaning or wastewater removal. In Smithfield, a proposed junction change cannot be treated as a current route; use live traffic instructions from the project lead.

Send the site facts

Share the exact address, crew count, dates, permitted placement area, water, power, wastewater, and access limits. The form creates a copyable brief; it does not send an inquiry. Ask for confirmed equipment and delivery terms in a written quote.
